Broligarchy,new term isn't it?🤔
This week, I watched Carole Cadwalladr’s latest TED Talk titled “This Is What a Digital Coup Looks Like.” It’s bold, urgent, and deeply unsettling—but also empowering🙌❤️.
✅Her message is clear✅
we still have time, but we must act. We need to challenge the structures that allow a handful of tech giants to control what we see, say, and believe.
My thoughts🌸
We—and our everyday actions—are shaped more by the internet than we realize. Whether it's talking to someone or expressing anger, our choices are often influenced by what we consume online. Many think this is just a capitalist or political issue, but it’s deeply personal. Our data, our privacy, and even our emotions are being manipulated by tech billionaires in alliance with political authorities.
So we must ask ourselves daily: Is this really my decision? Or is it shaped by someone else’s agenda I saw online?
We can't dismantle capitalism overnight, but we can start by:
1)Reflecting on the content we consume.
2)Making conscious choices rooted in our instincts.
3)Avoiding unnecessary exposure on social media.
4)Protecting our data by not giving it away to random websites.
Even small changes in how we use the internet can create ripple effects—empowering us, protecting our privacy, and challenging the broligarchy one choice at a time👍
Nice thoughts🌸🍃
